Overview

The Principal manages the entire school operations to ensure its safe and productive for learning environment. This is archived through careful coordination of school activities together with the teaching and non teaching staff. 

While both both classroom and administrative experience are fundamental to becoming a principal, a strong adminstrative skill is always a plus. A principal must also be an excellent communicator as a common task is facilitating communication between employees, students, parents, the community

Day-to-Day Work

• Manage school activities and staff, including teachers and support personnel
• Establishes and oversees class schedules
• Develop, implement, and maintain curriculum standards
• Counsel and discipline students
• Observe teachers and evaluate their performance
• Meet with parents and teachers to discuss students’ progress and behavior
• Assess and prepare reports on test scores and other student achievement data
• Organize professional development programs and workshops for staff
• Manage the school’s budget, order school supplies, and schedule maintenance
• Establish and coordinate security procedures for students, staff, and visitors
• Evaluate instructors and other staff members to ensure that the standardized curriculum is adhered to, and identify areas of improvement.
• Ensure students and staff comply with rules and regulations of the school and governing authorities
• Collaborate with teachers, parents and students to reach their goals
• Participate in hiring, training and other employment activities for instructors and secondary staff members to create a dynamite team.
• Establish curriculum guidelines in collaboration with other administrators and instructors.
• Oversee budgeting and grant proposals, and determine budget allocations for items such as supplies, materials, staff and equipment.
